Tributes for Casey Breese after death in Caersws

Hundreds of tributes have poured in for a 12-year-old boy who died after being hit by a falling goalpost while playing football in Powys.

Dyfed-Powys Police said Casey Breese was playing with local boys in a recreation ground at Caersws on Friday.
He was pronounced dead after being flown to hospital in Shrewsbury.
A Facebook page has been set up for people to leave messages with three of Casey's relatives leading the tributes to the Newtown High school pupil.
One relative wrote: "Sadly my little cousin has been taken away from us all today, much loved by everyone in village, always willing to help anyone, and had a lovely smile on his face at all times.
"Casey my love you will never be forgotten and will be hugely missed by us all. Rest in peace my little man. God bless, lots of love X x x."
Another said: "Life and soul of the village, and you shine like a star, stay with us Casey. See you again some day."

A message from another family member said: "R.I.P Cuz!!! Cant believe you've been taken away from us at such a young age... You'll never be forgotten!!!!.. Take it easy up there naw kiddo... Love you matey xxxx."

Friends of the youngster also paid tribute with one saying: "You were an amazing friend to me can't believe your gone."
Another added: "RIP, u was the best centre-back in the league. It will never be the same and the funniest in maths M8."
Investigation Messages also came from people who did not know Casey.
Police are continuing to investigate his death at the recreation ground where floral tributes have been left.
A Manchester United top was also left as a tribute.
"The goalposts have been taken away by the police, who have also spoken with the other children and some adults who were in the area at the time," said a police spokesman.
"The children present have been affected by the incident and a specially-trained officer will be speaking with their families, and if necessary, further support will be put in place."
A liaison officer is supporting the family. An official family tribute is expected to be paid on Monday.
Det Insp Ian Andrews said the police were working in collaboration with the environmental health department at Powys Council.

"Our condolences go to the family who have suffered this terrible loss and we would ask that the media respect their privacy," said Det Insp Andrews.
"In addition, we would ask any member of the public who witnessed the incident to come forward as their information may help the investigation."
The coroner has been informed.
The incident happened in a recreation ground, also home to the village's football club.
Caersws FC's pre-season friendly with Carmarthen Town, due to be played on Saturday afternoon, was called off as a mark of respect.
Caersws FC chairman Peter Harding said: "Our thoughts are with the family and his friends and it is a tragedy for the village."
Casey was treated at the scene by ambulance staff before being taken by air ambulance to the Royal Shrewsbury hospital, where he was pronounced dead shortly after his arrival.
A Health and Safety Executive (HSE) spokesman said: "HSE is aware of this incident and is following up with police and local authority officials."
