A performance space in Warrington is being renamed in memory of Oscar nominated actor Pete Postlethwaite.
The opening of the Postlethwaite Studio in the Pyramid Arts Centre will be attended by family of the Warrington born actor who died in January aged 64.
Postlethwaite, who began his career at the Liverpool Everyman theatre, was nominated for an Oscar in 1994 for his role In The Name of the Father.
The studio will be officially opened at 18:00 BST on Friday.
'Immeasurable talent' Pete Postlethwaite trained as a teacher before becoming an actor.
At Liverpool Everyman he worked alongside Jonathan Pryce, Bill Nighy, Julie Walters and Antony Sher.
Kate Hannon, Warrington Council executive board member of leisure, community and culture, said : "Pete Postlethwaite always made Warrington proud through his distinguished work and immeasurable talent.
"I am thrilled that we can pay tribute to him in this way."
