Darling Buds of May visitor trail set up in Kent

A new visitor trail has been created to capture the "perfick" Kent inhabited by Ma and Pa Larkin in the TV series Darling Buds of May.

The trail marks the 20th anniversary of the ITV series which was filmed in and around Pluckley.
Visitors will be able to see some of the programme's locations including the Larkins' local pub, The Black Horse.
A stage production of the show was staged at Buss Farm, the Larkins' fictional home, in May.
The Yorkshire TV series starred David Jason as "Pop" Larkin, Pam Ferris as "Ma" Larkin and Catherine Zeta Jones as their daughter Mariette.
It was first broadcast between 1991 and 1993 and was based on the novels by H E Bates set in 1950s rural Kent.
'Much-loved series' The new trail includes agricultural museums, working windmills and historic vehicles, while visitors can enjoy the countryside travelling on the 
Kent County Council's Film Office, Produced in Kent, and Visit Kent have put the trail together.
It follows on from the Other Anne Boleyn trail, which brought in about £744,000 to the local economy, according to the film office.
Gabrielle Lindeman, from the office, said: "The aim of this trail is to generate spend into the Kent economy by promoting filming locations along with Kent producers and visitor attractions in the county.
She added: "From the filming location owners as well as from queries to the Kent Film Office we know that there is still public interest in this much-loved series."
She said that with the current heightened interest in food tourism and local produce the 20th anniversary of the Darling Buds of May "presented a perfect opportunity to fit the elements together".
