A 15-year-old boy has died after falling into a reservoir
A search-and-rescue operation was launched after the emergency services were called to Cochno Loch just after 1630 BST on Sunday.Strathclyde Fire and Rescue Service said three fire engines and a fire rescue boat were sent to the scene.
The boy's body was found and recovered from the water at about 1825 BST. Police said there were no suspicious circumstances.
A spokeswoman for Strathclyde Police said: "At around 1635 hours on Sunday, the 15 year-old got into difficulty whilst diving into the water at Cochno Loch.
"A full search and rescue operation was launched involving Strathclyde Police and Strathclyde Fire and Rescue Service.
"A rescue helicopter and the police helicopter also assisted."
Officers have advised people, particularly during the warm weather, not to play or swim in open water where there are no lifeguards present.
